It happens every Thursday (1953)
Bob MacAvoy (John Forsythe) and his pregnant wife, Jane (Loretta Young), are tired of the hectic life they lead in New York City. Bob abandons his successful position as a reporter to move with Jane to a little town in California, where he buys the struggling weekly newspaper. Their city ways clash with the traditional smalltown mores of their new neighbors. Bob then orchestrates a scheme to increase circulation, which only gets the hopelessly cosmopolitan couple into more trouble.
