Orthodox Bellringing at St Seraphim Cathedral, Santa Rosa CA

While we were shooting the Fundamentals of Orthodox Bellringing video course in January 2021, my videographer Serge Kuzmin and I wanted to record a full peal on all the bells. This is a peal in 3 movements, like you would hear before Matins and Liturgy on a Sunday morning, or a Feastday during the week. The second movement, for contrast, I tried ringing in a 4:3 polyrhythm and it worked great with their bells. Since the Cathedral bought bells before building their tower, they re still on ground level. Andrew Gould of New World Byzantine designed them an awesome new tower:
