Yes Sounding Out BBC 72
This is one of very few extant TV shows of the early Yes. As Ive said elsewhere, outside TV broadcasts were expensive things to do in the early 1970s, with trucks full of kit and technicians. But when the BBC did show up, they did it well, with excellent balance engineers. These were early days of filming backstage what went on in setting up, rehearsing, sound checking and packing up. TV directors of the day were not at all sure anyone would be interested in that stuff. My breathless announcement that I reckoned that Yes had about 13, 000 GBP of equipment in 1972 tells you we were starting to spend big.
