Each filmmaker was asked to choose his favorite star from his own country. Pan Nalin was yet to make his first feature Samsara (2002) but his shorts and documentaries were already a global success. During his early years in Mumbai, he directed many TV commercials, and documentaries for Discovery Channel, Nat Geo, BBC, and so on. His passion for cinema and filmmaking drew the attention of American and French producers, and they invited Pan Nalin to make this short. Nalin instantly chose his favorite star Shah Rukh Khan.
