Full titles read: Never Shall Their Glory Fade Sir G. Feilding unveils Memorial on the spot where 7, 000 Guardsmen fell in one tragic month during epic fighting on the Somme in Les Boeufs, France. Major General Sir Geoffrey Feilding with French military men, inspecting troops on an old battlefield in the Somme. He reads a speech, then walks over to the new war memorial and pulls a cord to release a drape from the huge cross. A clergyman makes a speech before the memorial. Major General Sir Feilding places a wreath at the base of the memorial; several children and adults put flowers and wreaths on the steps to the memorial. Intertitle reads: The simple wooden cross erected by their comrades immediately after the still Poignant M, S of a small group of soldiers looking at the wooden cross in the field.
