On the 25th of October 1965, The Beatles met Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham palace. (I sadly got the date wrong on literally the first line of the video ) John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr became Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBEs). The Beatles also met the Queen Mother and Princes Margaret after their show at the Prince of Wales theatre in 1963.
