Note: Probably filmed in the Pathe Studio. M, S of man in suit smoking cigarette. He signs an autograph and hands it over to a young school boy. The boy reads the signature and says though it was Jimmy Cagney. He rips out the page and throws it away in disgust. C, U of hand opening autograph book. A message inside reads: BY HOOK OR BY CROOK I LL BE THE LAST IN THE BOOK. C, U of word scribbled out and new message underneath. C, U of hand writing the name Joe Noble on piece of paper. The paper is folded before the ink in dry. It is reopened and now resembles a beetle. Reenactment of Queen Ysabella of Spain selling her jewels so that Christopher Columbus would have enough money to build a fleet of ships.
