The Heat: One on one with Roger Waters
By definition rock and roll is primal, passionate and rebellious. Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Bruce Springsteen are among the many who have raised their voices on behalf of political causes. Enter Pink Floyd and its founding member and principal songwriter Roger Waters with a musical history challenging, among other things, consumerism, politics and war. Waters left the band in 1983. His current tour is aptly titled This is Not a Drill what he calls part of a global movement by people who are concerned by others to affect the change that is necessary. The Heat recently spoke with him about that and some of the stories making headlines.
