Fred Astaire famously tripping over himself and eventually collapsing at a New Year s party in Holiday Inn (1942). Legend has it that he d actually had a few drinks to pull this off. From IMDB: For the drunk dance, Fred Astaire had two drinks of bourbon before the first take and one before each succeeding take. The seventh (last) take was used in the film.
