Are We Lost in the Cosmos Professor Alister Mc Grath
There have been dramatic changes in our scientific understanding of the universe in the last hundred years. It used to be thought that the universe was eternal; now it is thought that it came into being in the Big Bang. So what does this say about the trustworthiness of science What are the implications of the Big Bang for our understanding of ourselves Is the universe meaningless or is there some way of developing a big picture of reality that helps us decide our place and purpose in the universe. The transcript and downloadable versions of the lecture are available from the Gresham College website: Gresham College has been giving free public lectures since 1597. This tradition continues today with all of our five or so public lectures a week being made available for free download from our website.
