Exporting Fusion360 Models to Substance Painter (with UVs)
Hey everyone, thanks for watching my video Some extra information about the tutorial: Don t take this as a complete tutorial. It s just a really quick way to get from Fusion360 to Substance Painter. I feel like this is totally fine for creators like me who make still images and maybe some basic motion design. For gaming, this wouldnt be a good way. Also this is super basic regarding UVs, but there are tons of tutorials elaborating on that. My goal was to provide you with a good base to work on. So have fun exploring these programs Software used in order: Autodesk Fusion360 MomentOfInspiration Unfold3D VS Substance Painter A few alternatives I m looking into are: Doing a full retopo of the Fusion model in Maya and using the MoiD OBJ or the STL out of Fusion as a high poly mesh to bake onto the retopo model from another software. (This might be a bit of an awkward workflow and I might switch to modeling in Maya or something more integrated in the pipeline. ) Exporting as an STL to Zbrush and
