Samurai Spear Fighting in Armor Sojutsu 槍術

Spears (yari) were a principle battlefield weapon of the samurai and ashigaru footsoldiers from the time after the Mongol Invasions (12711281) to the end of the samurai wars in 1615. In February a demonstration of various martial arts is performed at Budokan including participants in samurai armor.
