Russian Tall Ship Pallada in San Francisco

FullRigged Russian sailing ship Pallada, now on a fourmonth roundtheworld journey dedicated to two events 270 years since the Bering Expedition and discovery of Russian America (namely Alaska and the Aleutian Islands) and 50 years since Yuri Gagarin s flight into space, sailed into San Francisco Bay On August 19, 2011 for a fourday visit. The journey started from Vladivostok on July 1, the port of its registration under the command of Captain Vasily Ivanovich Sviridenko. Over 120 cadets from the Kamc br, br,
