At Cockatoo Creek we see various shots of the university men measuring and testing a local tribe of Aborigines. They measure their heads, examine their skin colouring, take hand prints and test their counting and drawing ability. C, U of the hand of an Aboriginal man duplicating a footprint track in the sand. The expedition men make a record of an Aboriginal singing a traditional tune, then play it back to the tribe. M, S of a group of Aborigines banging sticks on the ground and singing.
