Korg M1 EX 4 MB upgrade board installation and T series factory preset load

This episode of 2kB of Fun is a geeky one. I found a cheap M1 EX upgrade board on a classifieds site. It only came with a program ROM card. In this video I take you along my quest to get it installed and working. I found out it wasn t just a matter of screwing it in. You need to modify the main PCM in certain places, and replace the ROM s with new ones. My M1, with an above 300000 serial, is one of the last batches, and this batch omits socketed Eproms.
