It was over fifteen years ago that I became aware of Nicole de Vesian. A woman who had lived and worked in Paris all her life until the death of her husband, when she decided to make the move South. She arrived in the Luberon in her seventies and proceeded to use her designer s eye (she worked for Hermes in Paris for many decades) in interpreting the aesthetic into a garden.
