Urasenke Tsurigama Shozumi Ro (裏千家 の 釣釜 初炭 炉)
This is an unabridged recording of Japanese Tea Ceremony. There are many schools of tea that teach The Way of Tea, Chado or Chanoyu in Japanese. In this video I m showing the ritual performed in accordance with Urasenke teaching. Shozumi is a procedure to place charcoal into the hearth. In winter season this is usually done before the food is served. Please consider becoming a member to help me improve the channel: Notes about style, choices Hishaku Because of the room configuration I chose to deviate from the standard movement in regards to opening and closing the door. Usually the host would close the door facing it properly, and then stand up and walk to the hearth, before sitting down agin and placing the ash container next to the wall. And it would be done in reverse when leaving. Known mistakes: Kami kamashiki was put into the kimono the wrong direction. And is therefore wrong through out.
