Sleaford Mods Bang Someone Out
Bang Someone Out was perhaps the first of many tunes where I wrote about the fantasy of violence and social unrest. It started to feel more and more claustrophobic in the U. K. as culture wars dominated across the many portals of social media, a tool the public had become obsessed with by 2016. I first met Chris at an interview for Idler. He came along to shoot the interview. An extremely gifted, nononsense photographer, we got on straight away. Some months later, I was invited to a warehouse in Birmingham to do some movement filming with Chris and his crew. We chose Bang Someone Out, and they basically filmed me performing my stage act all over this vast, empty warehouse in Digbeth. Good day s work.
