I got married My husband and I moved into a property with two vacant houses ( akiya ), a silk farming cottage and a shed in rural Shikoku, Japan. We are renovating the 100year old kominka traditional Japanese house into a guest house and we live in the newer house next door. I m a former interior designer, and now I m a foreigner living in Japan. Mr. Nakamura is a gardener and farmer.
