Bio By She Rox All Female Bands: Burning Witches began in 2015 in Brugg a canton of Aargau in Switzerland, by its founder and guitar virtuoso Romana Kalkuhl, an already well established player with local Swiss band, Atlas Axis. Romana wanted to form an all female heavy metal band, and once the lineup was solidified the band began to build a name for themselves not only in Switzerland but Europe as well, proving heavy metal is far from being a boys club with their highly skilled and critically acclaimed musicianship, the band is quickly winning over fans for their take on guitar driven classic power metal that easily rivals metal giants Judas Priest. With a fast growing fan based Burning Witches released a three song demo in November 2016, a precursor of the much anticipated and soon to be released debut album, the demo proves these women are the real deal and leaves its listener wanting more and why fans are so eager for a full length release.
