End the Licence Fee. BBC is Incapable of Reform. BBC at 100 Is More Destructive than Beneficial
As the BBC celebrates its centenary, NCF director Peter Whittle argues that, despite promises from the new Director General Tim Davies that the BBC would become less biased, the BBC s condition appears to have deteriorated even further. Recent controversies surrounding the impartiality of BBC newsreader Maxine Croxall and journalists Katya Adler and Ross Atkins. The BBC is incapable of reforming itself. As it will clearly never change, it s time to end the licence fee. If it wants to survive, the BBC needs to find a new way to fund itself. It can no longer claim to represent the entire nation.
