USN EA 6 B Prowler End Of The Line Retired After 45 Years

The U. S. Navy s EA6B Prowler entered operation in 1971 and after serving in every major aerial conflict since the Vietnam War was finally retired in June 2015. The fourseat electronic warfare aircraft was the Navy s main aerial platform for jamming enemy radar and communications for nearly 45 years. The Prowler will be replaced by the EA18G Growler which is based on the F, A18F Super Hornet airframe.
