APOLLO 12 Pete Conrad steps on the Moon Photos, Film, TV (1969, 11, 19)
Sequence showing Pete Conrad exiting the Lunar Module and stepping on the Moon. When Conrad, who was somewhat shorter than Neil Armstrong, stepped onto the lunar surface, his first words were Whoopie Man, that may have been a small one for Neil, but that s a long one for Photos, 16mm film and TV are synchronized to sound and rotated to remove tilt relative to the horizon. TV transmission was in color but saturated and with interference, thus quality is quite low. But the 16mm camera mounted on the Lem window captures a good view of Conrad stepping on the surface.
