Shimano 12 speed Micro Spline Overhaul. This is a stock SLX hub. I do a blowbyblow disassembly of the new Shimano microspline 12 speed rear hub. A customer noticed the loud noise appearing under load. When they applied heavy pressure like when climbing the sound was very consistent with full pedal rotations. The hub apparently left the factory with no lubrication. Applying a freehub lubricant seemed to do the trick but the hub is still silent when coasting. I do not believe this is a stock feature. I own the Shimano micro spline XT model and it runs greats and has a very low sounding coasting sound.
