Recently, I had the opportunity to get to know Ken R. In July of 1971 Ken moved with his family to Iran to work for Tavanir, an Iranian hydroelectric company which had a contract with Toronto Hydro, Ken s employer. Ken still has almost a thousand photos preserved on slides documenting his and his family s time in Iran and their experience adapting to the foreign yet extremely rich culture of Iran during the Shah s reign.
