Intertitle reads: It can transfer 500 tons of dock, barge, (and bargees ) from a high level to a low level canal (or vice versa) and abolishes the old locks. In goes the L, S of a barge moving into the lock. The lock mechanism is lowered. C, U of the cogs which operate the lock and of the counterweights.
