How to stack modelling deformers in Autodesk Maya like in 3 DS Max
In this tutorial Alex is demonstrating how to create a non destructive work flow in Maya stacking up deformers on a shape node that has an incoming connection from another mesh. This method can be used to preview a mesh with few deformers stacked on the top not losing the ability to work on the base mesh. This is useful for retopology or to create a shell, or solidify, modifier to add thickness to out models among other things.
