According to the outlets sources, Charles hosted a private meeting between himself and Bin Ladens halfbrothers, after which he personally brokered the deal. He agreed to the hefty donation despite objections from his staff and even his charity, the Prince of Wales Charitable Foundation (PWCF). He pressed ahead, reportedly not wanting to embarrass the brothers. The Times report follows a recently dropped investigation into multimilliondollar donations made by the Qatari royal family to the PWCF, and media reports that the prince had received shopping bags full of cash during the exchanges.
