As elderly mogul Grissly Morgan Palmor is on the verge of dying, a group of heirs rushes to his estate to stake a claim to his fortune. He decides to leave it to his granddaughter, Katherine (Virginia Grey), who s been taking care of him. Matters get complicated when her estranged husband arrives and Katherine finds her grandfather dead. With the help of a conniving lawyer and an amorous policeman (Paul Kelly), she tries to find the culprit.
