On May 17, 1954 the U. S. Supreme Court ruled that separating children in American public schools by race was unconstitutional. This would push in an era of desegregation in American schools. Please join us on February 17 at 6 PM to meet African Americans who lived through the period of segregation and desegregation in America. Learn what the doctrine separate but equal meant and what Brown vs. Board of Education mean to America. Please be prepared to ask your questions about the African American experience during segregation and post desegregation.
