Peacock Spider 3 ( Maratus vespertilio)

This video is about courtship in the Australian peacock spider Maratus vespertilio, the bat peacock spider. No other footage of this species exists, and malemale hopping contests also shown here were unknown to science and discovered accidentally while filming. All footage is from a Canon 60D with 100 mm macro.
