Snow, Sand, for instance, has a granular iciness that wavers between acceleration and stillness. Recur bounces back and forth between the left and right channels restlessly, and Temper has more warmth to it, thanks to its harmonics, before it shifts to a more meditative mood. The title track stands in place and vibrates for its long running time. A lovely, quiet work.
