Devil Curse Country, Meng gui zhou (1988) dir. Lu Po Tu

A young couple listen to the advice of their uncle, a toast priest. He gives them a long and totally inscrutable spiel, possibly about avoiding demons, though it s hard to tell. Then the young man, Chan Che, takes a business trip to Bangkok, where he bumps into lovely Thai girl Chuma, who just happens to be a witch, and the daughter of a wizard. She casts a spell on Che, so that he ll love her. Che returns to HK and his wife, and he starts to act strangely. Through her evil statuegod, Chuma turns the man into a raging wifekiller. The toast priest is eventually called in for a spirit battle with the works.
