It doesnt require a national disaster to inspire Tyson and Kimberly Chandler to lend a helping hand. For years, the New York Knicks center and his wife have been organizing events around Christmas to help those less fortunate, and for this year, they were already planning to hold a turkey drive for families in need when Hurricane Sandy struck the New York area. Suddenly, the idea of distributing turkeys to places that didnt even have power no longer made sense, said Kimberly. But we had no clue what to do. So, last weekend, the couple headed to the Far Rockaway section of the city to witness the effects of the storm firsthandand see where their assistance might be most needed.
