Furniture Exhibition (1953)
London. Various shots show new items of furniture being demonstrated at the British Furniture Exhibition. Two women sit on a settee; they move the armrests to give extra space and Mr George Clark, inventor of the sofa, sits between them. A woman pulls out a footrest on an armchair and a small table concealed in the armrest. Five stools are taken out of a pouffe, with the lid of the pouffe becoming a small coffee table. A woman takes a coat out of a walnut wardrobe with sliding doors. Extra tables are concealed in the legs of a living room table.
