Hermann Wollenhaupt Grande Valse Brillante
This beautiful valse, subtitled The Song of the Syrens for selling purposes, has the following structure (counted without repetitions): Intro, A B A B A C D E F G F G F H A B A, Coda, which might help you to analyse the structure. The end is quite virtuosic and some figurations remind me of Alkan and similar. Definitely a composer to check out because I think everything from him so far was very nicely crafted and thoughtful Wollenhaupt(18271863) was an american pianist and composer of German origin (born in Germany, died in New York. ) He studied in Leipzig with Julius Knorr and Moritz Hauptmann.
