Is the economy doing great Or not Now we have all seen these official reports showing the economy is doing fantastic. Like the recent Non Farm Payrolls report that was suggesting that more than 500 thousand jobs have been created in January 2023. And then we got the latest unemployment figures stating that the unemployment rate fell to 3. 4. That is the lowest jobless level since May 1969. Since 1969. How is that even possible . I mean I was not around at that time yet, I am not that old. But as far as I know, the united states were a completely different country back then. This was at a time when the united states were still one of the top producers of goods in the world and it was the time that some might argue to be the peak of prosperity for the average working class American.
