Fynn McCool Fynn McCool 1970 (UK, ProtoProgressive Rock) The only LP quartet of Britain. When The Shake Spears broke up in mid 1968, the remaining members Chris Stone, Alan Escombe and Mick Carter formed a team Fynn McCool, in honor of Finn McCool (Fionn mac Cumhaill) character of Irish mythology. They were joined by Mick Fowler (ex Grapefruit ). More recent changes in the composition include two more members Grapefruit Bob Wale and Geoff Swettenham, as well as Garth WattRoy, who played in East Of Eden. The only selftitled album Fynn McCool is now very rare. It was released on the RCA Records without the consent of a group of unfinished demos.
