Kerosene in the air, awesome engine sound in the ears and my heart pounded wildly. A Yakovlev YAK40 made me very enthusiastic. The Russian, Soviet aircraft was developed in the 1960s. The Yakovlev YAK40 (OMBYL) is owned by the Government of the Slovak Republic for VIPtransport. After a short visit to Berne the aircraft took off at Airport BernBelp in Switzerland.
