Canadians have reelected a Liberal minority government, Election, 2021, Trudeau Reports says, Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau hung onto power as his main rival conceded defeat, saying he had won a clear mandate to govern although he fell short of his goal for a majority win. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will maintain his position and form another minority government. Trudeau called the early election in hopes of winning a majority of seats in Parliament but has faced criticism for calling a vote during a pandemic to cement his hold on power. It was Canada s 44th federal election.
