In the WoransoMille area, Afar, Ethiopia, a 3. 8millionyearold hominin fossil cranium was discovered. Researchers lead by Dr. Yohannes HaileSelassie (Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Case Western Reserve University) conclude that the fossil cranium MRDVP1, 1 belongs to the species Australopithecus anamensis.
