More space news and info at: on September 29, 2008 the Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) Jules Verne entered the upper atmosphere at an altitude of 120 kilometers and broke up at an altitude of 75 kilometers the remaining fragments falling into the Pacific Ocean some 12 minutes later.
