How to photograph birds in flight. Bird photography tips and camera settings
Capture birds in flight with tacksharp focus using foolproof techniques and camera settings. Here I show you my favourite techniques for photographing birds in flight. I start off with recommended camera settings for capturing flying birds in low light, then demonstrate how I adjust them as the sun rises and the light becomes brighter. Camera Settings: Shooting in manual mode, I aim to have 1, 2000 shutter speed, f, 7. 1 or f, 8 aperture and then keep my ISO on AUTO, as long as it doesn t go higher than 3200. This video also explains why I keep my image stabilisation, vibration reduction turned OFF, even when hand holding Shoot on high continuous mode and use AI Servo (Canon) or AFC (Nikon and other camera brands).
