27 years ago American censors banned this film 8 times, despite the fact the studio could have released it as Unrated then or later on but as of 2020 never did. They however released a much more violent version in Europe. No reason has ever been given why it was banned in USA so studio had to guess, speculations however seems to agree it was banned because of gun violence. 4 minutes longer European version was however NOT Uncut so I edited European version + Workprint together for full uncut maximum entertainment, the way John Woo wanted you to enjoy the film. An updated version of 1932 film The most dangerous game where rich bored millionaires hunts the poor, until the day they fuck with the wrong man, that is and the hunted becomes the hunter Insanely stylish, brutal and spectacular. Even the killers look cool in this one (Especially Lance Henriksen and Arnold Voslov as the gang leaders). Never seen an ending like this, its like Rambo overkill when the mass killings starts.
