How Girls Pick Up (1940)

Titles read: HOW GIRLS PICKUP . Brief shot of a busy street in London s West End looks like Oxford Street. Somewhere in the English countryside we see various shots of attractive West End shop girls working on a farm in their holidays grooming horses, picking beans in a field (wearing shorts so we get some leg shots ) and having a picnic lunch. Commentator mentions they are helping to make up for the shortage of men working on the land. They are all wearing armbands with a crown motif. One girl powders her nose they look like they re having a good time The women lie down in the field for a nap. At the end of the day the girls go to a country pub and stand outside drinking pints of cider from tankards. Note: great shots of shop girls helping the war effort and it looks like good fun.
