3 minutes of pure sherman radial engine sound
Listen to the wonderful sound of this Continental R975C4 radial engine (9 cylinders, 15, 9L, about 450hp). Turn up your speakers Hear it cold starting and revving There is a lot of smoke when starting because of the configuration of the engine: as it is a radial engine, when not running, oil accumulates in the lower cylinder, hence the smoke when cold starting. The featured tank is a Sherman M4A1E8 HVSS 76mm restored in Bastogne by the team of the War Heritage Institute. It was seen during Tanks in Town 2017 in Ghlin, Belgium.
