BLUE PEACOCK BLAUER PFAU

Blue peacocks of Eggenberg castle in Graz, Austria. These exotic birds walk freely in big park, that is opened for visitors. The mostrecognizable specie of peafowl is the blue peacock. It has a 90130cm body and 150cm train offeathers that are coloured a brilliant metallic green. This train is mainly formed of the birds upper tail coverts, which are greatly elongated. Each feather is tipped with aneyespot that is ringed with blue and bronze. In courtship plays, the cock elevates his tail, which lies under the train.
