Based on the famous Strange Tales (Liao Zhai Zhi Yi). A naive young tax collector stumbles into a spooky castle, where he falls in love with a beautiful woman who, unfortunately, is dead. Their supernatural affair is further complicated by the evil Tree Demon. Aided by a fierce swordsman, our trusty tax man descends into hell to fight for the spirit he loves.
