Five Years Ahead of My Time by the Third Bardo
The Third Bardo was a New York psychedelic rock band formed in the late sixties by lead singer Jeff Monn. A few years after the band broke up in 1967, Lenny Kaye put their only single, Five Years Ahead of My Time on his famous Nuggets compilation, a double LP that created a second generation of garage rock enthusiasts across the world. The name of the group was taken from the Tibetan Book of the Dead, which was heavily promoted by Timothy Leary as a guide for LSDtakers. The band reformed to play Cavestomp 1999
