Ball bearings Circular Saw Simple Sliding Cross Cut Jig
My second attempt at making a circular saw sliding cross cut jig using four linear ball bearings, and two chrome plated steel rods of two ( 2 ) metre longs and twenty ( 20 ) mm in diameter. I wanted to be able to take this jig apart for storage when not in use: upon completion, I ve found that this not very partical, it takes a fair while to put everything together, I replace the steel rods and the ball bearings with a more simple sliding tracks later on. It s usuable, it cuts accurately. And more importantly, it is a nice learning experience for I need to build up my skills in area, I plan to do a few more jigs later on, as I ve found that hand tools alone is too slow.
